I am currently studying for a Masters Degree in Public Relations at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK, which I am enjoying immensely (and secretly hope will never end!)
My current areas of study include; ethical communcation management, corporate and specialist public relations, and public relations and new media. I have also completed modules in PR theory and writing style, and took an elective marketing module.
I completed my undergraduate degree in 2005, at Keele University, in American Studies and English Literature (Dual Honours). My bachelors dissertation was an examination of the 2004 American Presidential election.
I am argumentative, mischievous, interested, political and very outgoing. My main areas of interests in Public Relations are the ways in which governments, ruling parties and political candidates use PR. I am also interested in the relationship between practitioners and journalists. I am really enjoying my Masters degree and ultimately hope to go on to complete a PhD in the field of communications.
Possibly my favourite thing in the world is reading, and one day I WILL own an enormous library teeming with all my favourite books. I am also a big film fan, I love political thrillers, dramas and war films. And I am also never without my iPod, I’m assuming I will eventually need the earphones surgically removed…
